3.  After you have cleaned the tattoo, gently pour cold water over it for a few minutes,  lightly pat dry with a soft towel.

4.  Carefully apply a very light coat of lubriderm, vitamin E or A and D ointment, often  enough to keep your tattoo moist and to prevent scabbing.

Proper Piercing Care
The success of your piercing depends on the aftercare.

Successful healing of your piercing requires the utmost care and attention. After a few days the piercing may get a little sore & begin to discharge lymph (puss),which will dry on the jewelry. The best time to wash your piercing is in the shower. The heat, humidity & running water will aid in cleaning. Your skin will become more flexible & 'crustys'; Will be liquified. Wash your piercing twice daily with the recommended cleaner, (check chart below)

Apply once while in shower and a second time with a Q-tip. Be sure to get the solution on the jewelry & turn it so that it goes inside your openings. Leave on for 3-5 minutes then wash of either in the shower or with warm water & a clean facecloth. Do this for the first 8 weeks.

For genital piercing use use above steps & to speed up healing, you can take a bath 2-3 times a week with sea salt. The sea salt restores cell structure quickly & also reduces redness, tenderness & discharge.

You can also take Echinacea to help speed up healing. If piercing becomes sore, swollen or bleeding & if it persists or worsens contact your piercer or drop in to get it looked at if your piercing did become infected a mild antibiotic from your Doctor will clear it up.

Oral piercing

...Should be treated with Listerine mouthwash mixed 50/50 with bottled water or well water. Mouthwash regularly & always after eating, drinking, sleeping and especially smoking.

1st  week ~ Anytime you put anything in your mouth.

2nd  week ~ 7-8 times a day.

3rd  week ~ 3-4 times a day.

Once or twice a day for the next few weeks. You can eat as usual just take small bites & drink water to help aid in swallowing.

Don't eat spicy food, it will swell up your tongue more then usual. To help with swelling, take "Advil", Ibuprofen or ... an hour after your piercing. Lots of cold stuff like popsicle, slushes, crushed ice & water. NO oral sex for at least a month, it is to easy to get STD's. Even if you've been with your partner for awhile. Do not drink beer or wine for a month, the yeast promotes infection. Do not drink too much because your tongue will swell up more then usual from dehydration from the alcohol. Keep hydrated!

UNDER no circumstance should you remove your jewelry. The piercing will heal over & if there were and infection, it would stay inside your body. Although your Doctor will tell you to.
